Join us for our “Little Buds” workshops! These hands-on workshops are designed for our young growers to explore the the garden, kitchen, and nature. Each session introduces kids to gardening, herbal crafting, and other age appropriate projects.
In January’s workshop, Little Buds will:
Learn about simple herbs and how plants can be used for everyday care
Measure, mix, and pour their own herbal lip balm
Customize their balm with kid-friendly scents
Each child will leave with their own handmade lip balm and a basic understanding of how herbs can be used safely and thoughtfully.
Cost: $20 per child
Location: Buds and Blossoms Nursery 1220 W Danville Street, South Hill, VA 23970
*Workshops are offered one Wednesday per month. You may select your preferred time at registration.
Note: These workshops are designed for children ages 8–11 who can follow simple instructions with a little help from adults. Parents are welcome to browse and enjoy the nursery while the workshop is happening. To keep things fun and focused for everyone, little gardeners or siblings under age 8 must be registered and accompanied by an adult if they wish to participate. Older children (12+) must also be registered and are welcome to join if they enjoy hands on crafts and gardening. Please plan to return to the workshop space 5 minutes before the session ends to pick up your child
We know life happens. Truly. Because our workshops are small, hands-on, and require advance prep, we do out best to keep things fair for everyone.
10 or more days before the event:
No problem, you’ll receive a full credit (not a cash refund) for the amount paid, valid for 12 months toward another Feral Ridge Ranch workshop or event.
Less than 10 days before the event or no-shows:
At that point, preparations are already underway, so we’re unable to offer credits or refunds.
You’re welcome to send someone in your place at no extra cost, just let us know at least 48 hours in advance.
In the rare event that Feral Ridge Ranch has to cancel or reschedule due to weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances, you’ll be offered a full refund or a transfer to a future date.
