Grow wild. Live well.
Simple living with heart, grit, and intention
A feral path forward.
Our journey began on a cozy 1-acre homestead, where we learned to grow food, make herbal remedies, and build community from the ground up. You may have known us then as Handmade on the Homestead.
Now, we’re writing a new chapter as Feral Ridge Ranch—an off-grid, 60-acre sanctuary along the Meherrin River. We're still grounded in handmade tradition, but now with deeper roots, wilder land, and a broader vision.

Feral Ridge Ranch empowers individuals to reconnect with the land and cultivate self-sufficiency through hands-on experiences and slow, seasonal living practices. We foster a deeper understanding of nature, food, and traditional skills that encourage a fulfilling, balanced lifestyle rooted in simplicity and respect for the earth. Feral Ridge Ranch is a place for the curious, the grounded, and those growing into a more intentional life—where land meets lineage, and wildness is always welcome.

We’re growing more than plants.
At Feral Ridge Ranch, we’re cultivating connection, healing, and hands-on learning through:
Herbal and homesteading workshops — sharing seasonal skills rooted in tradition and sustainability
Small-batch apothecary goods — handcrafted soaps, salves, teas, and more, made with care from the land
Intentional gatherings — retreats and workshops that foster reflection, creativity, and reconnection with nature
