Homestead Honeys Meet-Up

  • Common House 303 West Broad Street Richmond, VA, 23220 United States (map)

Ok friends, I think that this has been a long time coming. Are you looking for genuine connection with fellow homesteaders, where you can ask questions, share your knowledge and do the scariest of all and actually leave the house!? Well, consider this your formal invite to join me for our first Homestead Honey Meet Up.

What’s a "Homestead Honey"? Homestead Honey is a current or aspiring gardener, animal steward, crafter, farm to table cook. Homestead Honey is resourceful and loves nature. They cheer on their fellow homesteaders, know there’s always something new to learn, and aren't afraid to get their hands dirty.

This meetup isn’t a formal class or workshop, it’s simply an invitation to be part of a community. The first meeting will take place at Common House Richmond located at 303 W Broad St, Richmond, VA 23220 on Saturday, 3/2 from 10am-2pm. Why this location? They have free coffee duh! But more importantly it’s a beautiful space that lends itself to connection. The theme for this meetup will be building community. Please feel free to bring seeds to swap, books to share, and all of your questions. The first two hours of the event will be facilitated. The remainder of the time may be used to grab lunch or hangout with your new friends.

Although the House, does allow children on the weekends, for the purposes of this meet up, please plan for a 21+ event. Please read through the venue guidelines prior to RSVPing to ensure that you are comfortable interacting in the space. RSVP is required to attend this event.

This venue is located in downtown Richmond, however, there is ample street parking. Coffee and tea will be provided, however, additional food and drink will be available for purchase. Please note, outside food cannot be brought into the space. When you arrive, please check in with the concierge and they will direct you to Room 328.
